Helping Students See More, Plan Better, and Dream Bigger
At Generation Assistance, we believe every student deserves a clear, confident path to their future - no matter where they start in life. Our mission is to help 8th - 12th grade students and their families stay organized, explore careers, and feel fully prepared for college and life beyond.
We know the journey can feel overwhelming. That's why we've created a trusted space filled with guidance, resources, and encouragement for every step of the way.
You don't know what you don't know
Hi, My name is LaKenya Danyel VanNorman, the founder of Generation Assistance, and I’m not a teacher or a guidance counselor. I spent over a decade working in the energy industry, and for most of my life, I had no idea that was even an option.
Like a lot of people, I only knew a handful of “popular” careers growing up. I didn’t know about the pathways that aligned with my interests, or that there were entire industries out there beyond what I saw around me. When I graduated high school, I didn’t have the roadmap or the resources I needed to confidently choose my future.
That’s why I created Generation Assistance.

If you believe in our vision and want to know more about what we are working on, sign up for early access below.

Why This Matters
Generation Assistance is built for students who are smart, motivated, and full of potential, ALL STUDENTS, but who may not have access to the full picture. It's for students (and families) who want to be organized, informed, and prepared as they navigate high school and plan for college or a career.
I believe every student should graduate with a strong sense of what's possible and a solid plan to get there.
